 The Preston Memorial Hospital Diagnostic Imaging Department, is one of the busiest areas of the hospital, processing several of the following procedures daily, X-rays, CT, MRI, PET, nuclear medicine, ultrasound and mammography. These tests are performed on patients within the hospital as well as outpatients, using advanced and updated equipment for the clearest, most readable images.
Radiology tests provide physicians with highly detailed, multi-angled views of different areas of the body to help make diagnoses, track treatment progress and check for recurrence of disease. Most radiology tests are minimally invasive or noninvasive and are completed within a short amount of time. Films are read by radiologists, who provide information to the physicians who ordered the tests. |
