How We Give Back To Our Communities

The Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation was created in 1994 to raise, receive, and accept funds for facility improvements, equipment, technology,and expansion of services at Preston Memorial Hospital.

Foundation donates $36,815 to the Diagnostic Imaging department in 2008
During the year of 2008, the Foundation held many fundraisers to help purchase a new 16 slice CT-Scan for the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The Hospital purchased this equipment in November of 2008 with the help of $36,815’. Since December of 2007, the Hospital has spent over 1 million dollars in upgrading all of its equipment.

Foundation Donates $12,000 to Hospital in 2006

Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that it donated $12,000 to Preston Memorial Hospital in 2006. The monies were used to purchase four new cribs and tables for the birth center.

The Preston Birth Center first opened in 1982. It was one of the first full-service, in-hospital birth centers in West Virginia. The philosophy of labor, delivery, post-partum maternity care, all in the same room, is now the standard around the nation. Preston Birth Center remains one of the few comprehensive birth centers in the state which encourages family-centered maternity care.

Foundation Donates $14,212 to Hospital in 2006
Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that it donated $14,212 to Preston Memorial Hospital. The monies were used to purchase an EEG Machine for the Specialist Center.

Foundation Donates $24,000 to Hospital in 2005
Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that it donated $25,000 to Preston Memorial Hospital in 2005. The monies were used to purchase a new PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) for the Respiratory Department
