Pharmacy 
The Pharmacy Department at Preston Memorial Hospital is committed to providing state-of-the-art pharmaceutical services for all of the medical center’s patients. Staffed by licensed, registered pharmacists and certified technicians, the Pharmacy is a vital part of the healthcare team.
The Pharmacy provides the following services:

Drug Monitoring – Our pharmacists monitor the use of all medications. The Pharmacy features an advanced computer system that automatically monitors for drug/disease interactions, drug/food interactions, side effects, allergies, and other contraindications. |

IV Admixture – The Pharmacy mixes and provides all medications given intravenously using sterile, aseptic technique. All intravenous products are mixed in specialized admixture hoods. |

| 
Education – A pharmacist is available 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. 365 days a year to provide drug information to healthcare personnel, patients and their families. Computerized printouts are available through the Pharmacy for all medications. |

| 
Clinical Services –Pharmacists are available to provide services such as medication reviews, pharmacokinetic dosing, renal function dosage modifications and medication dosing consults. |

| 
Employee prescriptions are filled for eligible staff and dependents. |
