The Respiratory Therapy Department at Preston Memorial Hospital offers a wide variety of services including blood gases, EEGs, pulmonary functions, and ventilator care, as well as routine therapy. Respiratory Therapy is an allied health specialty concerned with the treatment, management, control, and care of a patient's breathing.
PMH’s team of Respiratory Therapists provides services for adults, children, and infants in the hospital and in the outpatient setting. Our respiratory therapists monitor your health care needs and assist your healthcare provider in treating your illness.
Preston Memorial Hospital provides integrated Respiratory Care services that include:
- Oxygen Therapy and Management with basic / advanced patient assessment
- Ventilator Management including non-invasive
- Allergy and Asthma Management
- Obstructive Sleep Apnea Therapy
- Tracheostomy / Airway Management
- Aerosol / Humidity Therapy
- Respiratory Consultation available for local, contracted healthcare providers
- Non-Invasive Testing / Monitoring
- Pulse Oximetry include nocturnal monitoring
- Outpatient Services
- Spirometry
- Lung Volume Tests
- Diffusion Studies (DLCO)
- ABG Analysis
- Pulse Oximetry
- Sleep Laboratory diagnostics on site

The Respiratory Therapy Department is staffed 16 hours each day with the remainder of the day covered with on-call hours. |  |
