Preston Memorial Hospital's Swing Bed Program is a rehabilitative care initiative implemented to provide qualifying patients (based on Medicare/Medicaid or insurance benefits) access to an hour or more of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy daily. For each patient, individualized goals are set for mobility and recovery. While recovering at PMH, Swing Bed participants can learn or relearn for daily living under the supervised care of professional physical and occupational therapists This guided approach helps to ensure that patients are working toward their recover goals prior to leaving the hospital. |  |
