Certified Nurse Midwife
About Bjarni L. Thomas:
Bjarni L. Thomas CNM, MS is a Board Certified Nurse Midwife who specializes in the labor and delivery process. She has a passion for education and seeks to give every woman the care that she deserves. Originally from Central Maine, Mrs. Thomas moved to West Virginia during the summer of 2009.
Education:
Mrs. Thomas received her RN from Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing. Lewiston, Maine in 1997. She than went on to the University of Phoenix ,where she earned a Bachelors degree in nursing. In 2007 she graduated from Philadelphia University, Philadelphia PA. with a Masters degree in Science and Nurse-Midwifery.
Professional Interests:
Board Certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives
Member of the Association of Women’s Health Obstetrical and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
Member of the Medical staff at Preston Memorial Hospital
Currently holds licenses in the states of Maine and West Virginia
NPR and CRP trained
Personal Interests:
Mrs. Thomas enjoys spending time with her family, music and gardening. She has three children, two daughters and a son and has been married to her Husband Ken since 1992. She grew up on a dairy farm in Central Maine and it is there where she developed the interest in labor and delivery.
