Position Title: Quality Improvement Director

Department:Quality Improvement Services
Position Description: The Director of Quality Improvement is assigned to assure that a hospital-wide program designed to assess and improve the quality of care utilizing the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement is implemented. Facilitates both the coordination of the credentialing process and medical staff peer review process. This position will also develop, implement and manage the hospital-wide risk management program. In addition, this position includes serving as the Chief Compliance Officer.

    Qualifications:
    Education:Graduate of accredited nursing program, medical records program, related clinical health care program or equivalent is required. Evidence of training in Continuous Quality Improvement principles is required.
    Experience:Two years of experience in managing a hospital quality assurance program is required. Five years of hospital management or professional liability claims management preferred. Experience in database management and systems development is preferred.

    Basic knowledge of current Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is required.
