Position Title: Nurse Practitioner (Per Diem)

Department:Urgent Care
Position Description: The nurse practitioner (NP) uses clinical judgments in conducting health assessments making differential diagnoses, and prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. Plans are implemented through independent action, health counseling, and collaboration with other healthcare providers. The NP is responsible for day-to-day operations of ambulatory clinic, including supervision of staff and present administration of health care policies and procedures. The NP promotes optimum health, prevents illness and injury, and manages acute and chronic health problems in the on-site setting.

    Qualifications:
    Education:A Master's Degree in nursing is required.
    Experience:Three years experience as family or adult nurse practitioner is required. Occupational health experience is preferred.
    License Required:Current, valid license to practice as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse is required. Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Medical Director is required. ACLS is required.

    Competence in basic computer skills and proficiency in documenting and looking up clinical information in electronic records is required. Knowledge/operation of office equipment (telephone, fax, copier, etc.) is required.
